Questionable knowledge believes a timing chain lasts a lifetime and never needs replacing. Won't negotiate

Whilst we are sorry you are unhappy, this review is utter nonsense. You have only left a negative review because we have ALREADY sold the car you enquired on at the asking price while you were messing about. This negative review is simply sour grapes. Firstly, our car is already the cheapest out there and you initially offered £1,000 less than the asking price, over email, with no intention of actually buying it. We had so much interest at the asking price as it was so cheap, we had no reason to discount it as evidenced by the fact it sold at the asking price within days of us advertising it. Leaving a negative review because we would not knock money off the car because it was already cheap comes across as very pathetic. If you were not happy with the price simply enquire on a cheaper one instead of ours. Secondly, the whole point of a timing chain rather than a belt is literally that they are DESIGNED to last the life of a car. They do not have a recommended change interval like a timing belt. Timing chains do not tend to fail, and only tend to get replaced because the chain tensioners sometimes fail and the chain then stretches and makes a rattling noise. You would usually ONLY change a timing chain once it had become noisy, most garages will not change a chain simply for the sake of it. We did not say that they NEVER need replacing, simply stated they should not need changing unless they become faulty. It sounds like it is your knowledge that is highly questionable but you did not want us to educate you. At all stages we treated your enquiries professionally and responded politely and swiftly, despite your rather aggressive and demanding tone. Again, a negative review left due to sour grapes, NOT through anything we have done wrong. Presumably this is why you chose to remain anonymous, although we have your details anyway.

From first viewing to driving the car away I cannot fault Paul and the team. Although it took longer for me to be able to drive my car away I now realise that was because they wanted any issues to be resolved before it left their showroom.

Absolute pleasure to deal with. The car was described honestly in the advert, priced reasonably and as much time as I wanted given to me when I went to view.The sales representative I dealt with never put any pressure or expectation on me. Having lived with the car for a fortnight now, it is clear he answered all the questions I had honestly. He also had knowledge of the specific engine type, and common concerns, to hand when I asked about them.I paid for a private review before agreeing to purchase and the only fault they found was a split wiper blade. The inspection done by the garage, whilst being serviced, revealed two additional issues which were fixed at no cost to me.Highly recommended.

Fantastic service from start to finish. I delt with a fantastic chap called Paul. Super helpful and made the whole process so easy and hassle free. Answering any questions I had and great communication throughout the buying process.As it a performance car I purchased, Paul had great knowledge of this car. He gave me great advice going forward. Well worth the 4 hour round trip and would happily deal with Paul again. Thanks again Paul really happy with my car.
