Was contacted today by after sales and asked to leave a review of how I found the service..... Ideal were great, when they mentioned they had a few bad reviews and we're contacting all their customers I was shocked. They were true gents and I am over the moon with my car. It was the cheapest around and in lovely condition. Cannot fault the car or the service!

Ideal car centre were ok, I've definitely dealt with worse in the past. They could have done more to prepare the car and check it over but it was ready to pick up on time and there hasn't been any major issues since so I can't really ask for a great deal more than that.

I bought my first car from here in April, and will never buy from them again!!! As part of the sale I asked for a service of the vehicle and they accepted. Upon picking the vehicle up the guy said that they would post me the service paperwork. Which I still have not received 6 months on.. After 2 weeks of owning this car the clutch went - after contacting them (several times) they would only pay 1/5 of the bill for a new clutch. 2 weeks later the ignition coil was misfiring - I received no financial help or advice! 3 weeks later one of the piston rings snapped - again no help. And after another month it stopped all together. All of the work I had to pay for was done by my local Halfords Autocentre which I trust 100%!! This car became a financial drain from day 1. I would recommend staying away from these as they're cars are the same quality as a push bike!

Bought a car from ideal car centre back in January and I was very pleased with the level of service I received. The showroom was packed full of cars and they were all of a high standard including some prestige vehicles. Last week I had an issue with my car so I rang their warranty company who directed me to Halfords in longsight. They fixed the issue the same day and at no cost to myself. I was gearing myself up to leave a bad review as when the engine management light came on. Naturally I expected the worst. And looked up reviews finding a few bad ones here. Anyway. 5 stars I will highly recommend this dealer.

had problem after problem starting with the day after collecting the car but would not take responsibility for anything. Nothing but trouble customer service levels are shocking. DONT FALL FOR IT, And when you complain they can become very aggressive

My brother bought an Octavia from these guys and I took him to pick it up. I took a look around the showroom and ended up finding exactly what I was looking for too, and so drove away in a great car too. Very friendly, very professional, no hard sell and no hassle. Prices are very competitive and the service second to none. As always when looking for a new car it's best to shop around, but make sure this place is on your list to look around.

Avoid !!!!! Stupidly bought a car from them and within the same day the car started leaking oil onto the exhaust, advised not to drive as a potential fire hazard. Oil dripping onto exhaust. Brakes were condemned after a local garage inspected it. And quite a few more serious issues. Contacted the dealer and was given the run around for weeks. Finally decided to fix all the issues to the grand sum of £800 argued the point with the dealer and provided receipts also, but no joy. Basically fed lies and out of pocket to the sum of £800. Have passed all correspondents on to a friends Mum who is a lawyer and is building a case to sue them for all expenses. The only good news is she will do this for me gratis:)... Have since reported to trading standards and watchdog. What goes around comes around. Shocking! I feel like they sold me a dangerous car.

Bought a lovely car here and had no problems at all with the car or the service. They were very helpful and left me to my own devices whilst looking over the car. Not once did I feel pushed or under pressure

I left a deposit over the phone then after doing so I found these reviews and I have to say I was concerned. I followed through with the sale and on collection of my car I couldn't have been happier. I cannot fault the service I received. They are a great bunch of lads
