I went to view and test drive. I knew mot and service was due in September 2016. Not a great part exchange price either so I said so. He said well you can walk away. So I put £100.00 deposit down and said see if you can better my finance deals. Then I read these posts and rang up to cancel. He said I couldn't get my deposit back as he had to pay for it. Glad I walked away after reading these reviews. Told and wrote to trading standards too. Hope this helps anyone.

Do not trust this website!!! They are complicit in allowing people who have never purchased cars to post fake negative reviews, and making no effort to remove or edit incorrect and defamatory reviews despite proof they are fake or incorrect.

Avoid !!!!! Stupidly bought a car from them and within the same day the car started leaking oil onto the exhaust, advised not to drive as a potential fire hazard. Oil dripping onto exhaust. Brakes were condemned after a local garage inspected it. And quite a few more serious issues. Contacted the dealer and was given the run around for weeks. Finally decided to fix all the issues to the grand sum of £800 argued the point with the dealer and provided receipts also, but no joy. Basically fed lies and out of pocket to the sum of £800. Have passed all correspondents on to a friends Mum who is a lawyer and is building a case to sue them for all expenses. The only good news is she will do this for me gratis:)... Have since reported to trading standards and watchdog. What goes around comes around. Shocking! I feel like they sold me a dangerous car.

I bought a car from this dealer,and would never buy another car from them again. Stay well away from Ideal Car Centre. The after sales was very bad, after they took my money they did not want to know. This company should have the Trading Standards look into how they can sell cars to the public.

Absolutely shocking service! Engine went after a few weeks. The garage have taken no steps to rectify the problem and class it as wear and tear. These people treated me in a disgusting manner and I feel they are getting away with selling cars that won't last two minutes, just like mine. Avoid Ideal Car Centre and buy from another dealer.

After 3 weeks of owning the car the engine blew, the dealership were very unhelpful when I contacted them about the issue and refused to take liability so I am now taking the matter up with my finance provider.

Ideal Car Centre were very good, they did everything they promised during the sale, the car was ready on time and it was really nice and clean when I collected it, they refunded my deposit right away like they said, I haven't got a single complaint and I'd recommend them.

Ideal car centre were ok, I've definitely dealt with worse in the past. They could have done more to prepare the car and check it over but it was ready to pick up on time and there hasn't been any major issues since so I can't really ask for a great deal more than that.

I was looking for a new car when I came across a car at Ideal Car Centre back in April and it's all sound even these few months on. The one thing that impressed me was just how quick everything was, I don't have any complaints at all and so I can recommend them.

The car I bought was not the car I thought I was buying. I'm out of pocket fixing loads of issues just to get it through an MOT. The after sales has been none existent. During the test drive I told them it was pulling to the left and the tracking needed sorting, they agreed and said they would sort it which they didn't. The first car I went to see had lights flashing on the dashboard and started blowing blue smoke. They basically sold me a poor car as fast as possible. Last place on earth I would buy another car from is the Ideal Car Centre.

I bought my first car from here in April, and will never buy from them again!!! As part of the sale I asked for a service of the vehicle and they accepted. Upon picking the vehicle up the guy said that they would post me the service paperwork. Which I still have not received 6 months on.. After 2 weeks of owning this car the clutch went - after contacting them (several times) they would only pay 1/5 of the bill for a new clutch. 2 weeks later the ignition coil was misfiring - I received no financial help or advice! 3 weeks later one of the piston rings snapped - again no help. And after another month it stopped all together. All of the work I had to pay for was done by my local Halfords Autocentre which I trust 100%!! This car became a financial drain from day 1. I would recommend staying away from these as they're cars are the same quality as a push bike!
